SERVING YOUR INNER STORYTELLER
Great Storytelling has an Objective
These are our core project types that deliver the best results, giving our partners more confidence. Each is rooted in emotional storytelling, strategy, and nailing your story for better connection, strategy and execution. We approach each project with a Discovery Call to assess needs. We have these pre-made options or custom quoting. We believe transparency helps start the relationship off strong.
MICRO
FILMS
Trust isn’t built in a single video. It’s earned over time. A well-crafted series gives your audience real insight, human connection, and lasting value. Whether it’s thought leadership, a masterclass, or a long-term content system, these bite-sized films position you as the expert while keeping people engaged.

THE RIGHT PROJECT
Each project has its unique needs.
We work to create a partnership over being a vendor.
We want a stake in our partner's success project to project.
Our emphasis on storytelling is on long-term, consistent video that interconnects and strengthens our artists.
This helps fuel success for you and us.

How much does a video cost?We get it, this is the question everyone wants answered first. But the real question is: what are you trying to build? Our projects typically range from $5K–$50K, with some above or below depending on the scope. We offer go-to packages for music videos and brand storytelling, and we also build custom quotes based on your goals, resources, and needs. Music Video Pre-Built Pricing Brand Storytelling Pre-Built Pricing To us, budget isn’t just a number—it’s a tool to solve a problem. The better we understand your why, the more aligned the investment becomes. We start with a discovery call, ask the right questions, and either guide you toward a standard package or craft something custom. Our priority is making sure it’s the right project at the right size for you, not squeezing you into a template. Want a discount? Here's a few thoughts to consider, especially with hiring any creative partner!

Why not just hire a videographer?Great question, and honestly, maybe you should. But here's the thing: if you're just looking for someone to show up, shoot, and send you a nice-looking video, we might not be your people. Videographer vs. creative partner JECP isn't just a video production team. We're creative partners who bring strategy, storytelling, and filmmaking together to make videos that actually work, for your brand, your audience, and your long-term vision. Our sweet spot is working with people who want more than just deliverables. We help you get clarity, simplify your message, and build a video strategy that connects deeply. That means less chaos, more confidence, and a process that actually feels good. What it looks like to work with us Clients often say they love the final video, but what they don't see at first is how much intention went into getting there. We start by really understanding your story: what you stand for, what you're struggling with, and what you're trying to build. From there, we co-create the right film, and often an entire world of content that serves your bigger goals. We spend a lot of time upfront getting the relationship right. That lets us develop stronger concepts, dial in emotional themes, and do fewer things better. Our best work happens when we're all-in on your brand, not just the shoot day. Both parties need to be committed to the process. And while yes, we produce beautiful, cinematic work, it's our strategic thinking and creative consulting that clients fall in love with. Some hire us strictly as consultants. Some come in with a clear project. Most end up collaborating with us in a way that grows over time. We're not here to force ideas, we're here to find the best ones with you. The filmmaking side Once we're aligned on the concept, we build the right crew to match the vision. We work with people who care about the goals, not just the gear. That kind of alignment leads to better films, more thoughtful use of your content, and stronger long-term relationships. We don't just want to make another video; we want to help you do work that actually moves the needle. If you're curious about how we think through all this, grab our free ebook "Myelinate Your Message", it breaks down our framework for making video that works. And if you're just looking for someone else who might be a better fit? We've got a list of trusted "worthy rivals" on our contact page. Because the right partner matters more than just getting the job done.

What's your process look like?We follow a four-part structure: Discovery → Pre-Production → Production → Post. Sounds standard, right? But what makes ours different is how people-centered it is. We build trust first. We go slow where it matters so we can move fast when it counts. This isn’t about rushing through a job, it’s about making something that lasts. We integrate strategy and creativity from the beginning, and we treat the process as a shared experience. Conversations build trust and trust fuels your experience. We don't want you feeling like just another client in a queue. It all starts with a discovery call. Most clients feel unclear about their investment and it's hard to give over their vision to a service provider. Discovery Calls have been a part of our process for over a decade, so both parties feel clear, confident and excited about the project. We aren't mind readers and you aren't video professionals (more than likely), so the discovery call lets us collaborate towards clear problems and solutions for your project. These calls are to test the water, ensuring you like us and we like you, get a sense of the project you're envisioning and we guide you through a framework to make sure we gather enough information to present you options to work with us. It's not all or nothing. Agenda Shared Stories Stakes Timeline Budget Partnership Expectations

How long does it take to make a video?Depends on the scope. A single founders film or basic performance music video might take 6–12 weeks total. A full campaign with multiple videos and layered strategy might take 3–6 months. We don’t cut corners. If you're new to us, we’ll often recommend starting with a small-to-medium project to build a foundation and make the experience positive. From there, we can take on bigger stories once we understand each other's rhythm. Either way once we learn more about you, your project, timeline and hurdles we can better estimate time involved and proper approach from team building, tools, post hours and everything else that goes into producing your project. Think of it like this: your timeline + your goals + your resources = your project pace. We're here to help shape that. How we approach compromise to ensure both parties feel more confident through the process. A few variables come into play. It's project scope dependent, but something we go over in the discovery call and proposal phase of every project. It's important we meet expectations, but also have proper time to deliver consistent results. Our reputation is on the line. Pre-Production Post-Production Ultimately we set this together to manage the payment schedule, resources and collections, team, talent and client schedules and other varied logistics!

When is a good time to reach out for a project? The best answer is earlier than you think. Reactive planning is the death of most projects. Basically once you start shaping some ideas for your project and getting a feel for what you want to do is a great time. You just need curiosity and a willingness to talk, share and learn. Many of our clients come in with no script, no storyboard, no clue, just a feeling that something needs to be told. That’s where we come in. We ask questions. We listen. We guide. Our job isn’t to wait for you to hand us a perfect plan. It’s to help you shape the story that matters and bring it to life in a way that aligns with your goals and your budget. We work to make ideas possible, manage your release timeline and deliver accurately. A big part of the planning phase is timing. We want to make all of our clients feel loved through the process. Rushing crushes that feeling and adds stress. How we choose our client projects and why it matters. Additionally, we can't accept every project these days. The past few years we've been working with roughly 10-20 clients a year and producing multiple projects per client vs. finding new project after new project. We usually have 2-4 open spots a quarter, so we are accepting new clients, but we have to make sure all things aligned before we bring a new client or project into our schedule.

What if I've never done a video before or I'm brand new to marketing?Perfect. First-timers are some of our favorite people to work with. We know how overwhelming this can be, video has a reputation for being expensive, complex, and confusing. That’s why we’ve built a process that’s approachable, collaborative, and focused on making you feel confident. You don’t need all the answers. You just need a little trust and a willingness to explore ideas with us. We’ll guide you through the rest. First time ever video projects we often refer to as birthing projects. Here's what's worth npoting and considering. For starts if you're introducing video into marketing know that it's something that you will need to continuing doing as it will be the new norm. Additionally, the first projects are the hardest. They require far more intention and care, as you are setting the stage and building a new world for your audience, so they often costs the most upfront to set the stage and then you can build off that foundation easier in the future. Some thoughts on content marketing vs filmmaking and what's best for your brands story. We started getting inquiring for this exact process after we launched Post Modern back in 2015 and built a bunch of early success for the band. We love taking artists through this process and helping them launch with confidence. It's a ton of up front work and starts slow, but after launch things really fuel and we see huge transformations in our artists confidence. It's the best feelings for our team. Here are a few blogs we feel are worth reading on the subjects of marketing, storytelling, video production and understanding where everything sits for your story. Do you offer ongoing content or just one-off videos? Both, but with intention. We believe in building worlds, not just one-and-done projects. Some partners work with us quarterly, some come back year after year, and some start with a single piece that grows into more. Whether it’s a full campaign, DIY social strategy, or monthly storytelling content, we help you see how it all fits together. We’re just as interested in helping you build a system as we are in producing a film. What sort of storytelling, video or project types would best serve your marketing strategy? We love saving clients money. It was where we began our journey. These days we do charge more than our counterparts if you look at the total cost, but the ROI and deliverables are the sweet spot and where we save clients money and create sustainability. It's all in the deliverables. Ultimately, some clients come to us for a single story. Others stay for years. But either way, we’re not just thinking about one video. We’re thinking about the bigger picture. We believe in building story systems, not just delivering content. Sometimes that means helping you shape a full campaign—complete with teasers, BTS, stills, and reusable assets that support your launch across multiple phases: pre-release, release, and post. For example, it often makes more sense to increase a $8k budget to $20k and batch-produce several videos in a system or sequence and walk away with a full suite of assets that stretch your story across months, not minutes. We’ve taken single shoot days and turned them into a year’s worth of usable content, not by shooting more, but by planning better. That said, we’re not quick to push content marketing or retainers unless they genuinely fit. High-volume content isn’t always the best investment, especially if you’re still refining your message, voice, or offer. That’s why we often start with a foundational film or workshop, and then guide you from there. Some clients move into DIY storytelling with our support. Others graduate into consulting or a retainer when the time is right. We keep those ongoing partnerships limited so we can stay focused and serve them deeply. At the end of the day, we’re not here to sell you on more content. We’re here to build something that works, for your goals, your timeline, and your resources.

What makes you different from other video companies? We care more about people than pixels. We're a relationship-first company, which means we don’t rush into projects—we earn our way in. We spend time building trust, asking hard questions, and making sure everyone’s excited about the vision. That means your crew isn’t just showing up for a day rate, they’re showing up with heart, ownership, and a shared goal. It feels less like hiring a vendor and more like assembling a creative team that’s invested in what you’re doing. Project to project we relentlessly over deliver. Our commitment is to help clients evolve and feel confident in marketing efforts. We see our work beyond a good video and more as a toolset for our clients to keep showing up and telling their story creatively. What makes a great story? Camera? Lens? Lighting? Something else? If you want to take a deep dive into how we rebuilt JECP in 2024 you can learn about everything we did from killing off legs of the business, reworking old ideas into new ones and setting a new standard for ourselves. I can confidently say we are unlikely anyone else in our market. The work might all look high quality, but who we are and how we operate and overcome obstacles has always been what sets us a part. The Rebirth of JECP

Do you offer payment plans or how does payment work?Yes and this is such a common pain-point for clients. We've worked to reduce this, create flexibility and most importantly remove stress from collaborating. Our main focus is making art you are proud of and payment plans have helped us support clients in enjoying the process. We build all projects on a six-month payment plan by default. JECP Services Why? Because we’re in this for the long-term. That payment structure allows us to pace the project, build in strategy, and extend the relationship past the delivery date. Want to pay it off early? Cool. Need custom terms? We’re flexible, with a 20% markup for net terms outside our usual. Prefer to pay upfront? We offer a 20% discount for that too. We’re all about clarity, accessibility, and shared momentum. There's more to this work than budget when we say yes. It's about no bad deals for either side. All invoicing is managed through Dubsado which creates payment portals and allows you to pay via PayPal, Square, Credit or Debt and a variety of other forms. It simplifies payment so we can stay focused on creating.

Do you guarantee ROI on video? Not in clicks, likes or sales. The reality is different videos serve different goals and outcomes. Additionally video isn't your marketing savior. What we deliver is confidence, clarity and better storytelling. We have a shifted perspective on ROI, especially around video, but really any creative services. ROI comes from systems, not just a project. One video won’t change everything, but the right story, told well, can anchor a whole campaign or shift a mindset. This is really more of a strategy question and how you creatively deploy the project. Where we help is fitting in with what you're doing and shaping a bigger picture to where other pieces can fit beside a project together. It's not one or the other, it's making all the pieces fit together and raise the overall impact of your campaign, release, follow up and personalization. Read a few of our Testimonies from past clients. We focus on long-term strategy, not flash-in-the-pan results. Our work is built to strengthen your voice, grow your story, and empower you to show up consistently and creatively.

What’s the difference between consulting and filmmaking? When should I do consulting?Consulting is where we help you find the story. Filmmaking is where we bring it to life. If you’re not sure what kind of content you need, how to build a campaign, or how to align your message with your brand, consulting is a great place to start. It’s also great for building idea banks, working through marketing friction, or getting unstuck. Learn more about Consulting & Workshops here. Sometimes the best first step isn’t a production, it’s clarity. And we’re here for that.

What kind of projects do you create? Who do you work with?We work with people who are brave enough to be honest and bold enough to try. Partnership and aligned values is number one, but from a film type it's a lot of music videos, brand storytelling, occasional commercials, campaign content, documentaries and narrative filmmaking. We specialize in three types of partners: Rebellious sports & arts – musicians, underdogs, and culture-makers. anything with a story around a rebellious spirit. Holistic health & wellness – from gyms to mindfulness brands, putting large emphasis on transformation, self love and human growth. Corporate leadership & culture – making big companies feel more human, showcasing the massive impact, purpose and drive helping organizations stay driven. Most of our work is docu-style or concept-driven storytelling that builds emotion, not just content. It starts with trust, grows through collaboration, and ends with something we’re all proud of. Benefits of us being in Ohio The benefits of Ohio. We have a really great production partner OHD studios in our back yard as well as many creatives we've built trusting relationships with over the years. Why is this important? It lets us scale up or down and not compromise quality or experience. Additionally Ohio has many resources that the bigger production hubs like NYC, LA and Atlanta, but with a less premium cost. Travel to you is a possibility, but producing becomes the hurdle and we ask for more collaboration. Over the years we've built relationships beyond Ohio and into other states so we have the capability to crew up directly or connect you with another person on our roster in another state. We consistently trying to grow relationships and build smarter productions for our artists.
