INTERWOVEN VISUAL CAMPAIGN

PROPOSAL EXPIRES: July 30th
WELCOME TO YOUR PROPOSAL
Team Dreamwalker,
Our main objective is to deliver a project that hits goals, creates connections, and gives you more confidence in marketing. At JECP, the relationship is everything. As much as we want this project to be beautiful, we want to earn trust and form a long-term partnership.
Below, you will see your creative brief and 3 options for making the project possible. We look forward to serving you and giving you a great experience.
OVERVIEW
Let's build what we set out to build years ago. Ideally, this video borrows from everything previous in small ways. I want to bring to life the Dreamwalker character and embrace the weirdness of dreams and off-putting nature.
We've been doing this for years, and DW is one of our longest-standing clients. I want to make this one weird, create something we are all very proud of, and tie all the past videos together so they feel significant. This feels like the right time and I feel it's time we elevate the DW brand to the level it deserves.
Beyond a music video, I want this video and content to be rooted deep in strategy and experience for your fan base. I want creativity beyond the video and deep into everyone's personal marketing and alignment to make this release feel huge.
Once we determine which proposal makes the most sense, we can craft the production that matches that experience. However, our main objective is to make this visual campaign the most successful in terms of reaching your current fan base and beyond.
ATTENTION: PROPOSAL NOTE
We are running a promo for our legacy clients, so if we sign the contract by expiration, I can extend that to this project and save you more money. This proposal mimics our art-direction packages.

THE CREATIVE BRIEF
LET'S LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
YOUR STORY
While this whole campaign centers around Interwoven, I have compiled a treatment for going beyond, supporting longer-term content strategy, and/or increased quality production. I want to give you options to either focus solo on Interwoven or up the production quality, storytelling and volume of deliverables for stronger marketing.
INTERWOVEN
This song lends itself to a storyline and an opportunity to make the band's performances more intentional in art direction. I want Interwoven to literally interweave the art direction, characters, and inspirations from previous videos (Essence, Forever Adrift, Arkadia, Red Shift, Newspeak) and really tie the DW universe together.
From a band standpoint, I want to build out a Lambda head rig (a fancy tripod that moves very differently than the usual - think circular and upside down). Ideally, I want to do a few long takes of the band performing around in a circle and tie you all together with dusty clothing-connected wires (Veil of Maya) and shoot in a free-flow motion. The idea here is that you all are connected, have a similar focus point and the circular motion can signal endless motion. Also, this would just look super cool and different from anything else bands are doing right now, so there's that, too.
This opens up time. This time will go towards working with an actor or actors to bring more of a story to life. I want to tie in props and imagery from past videos and lean into the distorted feeling of being in a dream, from hazy imagery, off-putting details, and things that don't quite look right. This lets us play around, use subliminal messaging, and plant easter eggs for the fans to find. This could be a fun part of the marketing experience in making a hunt in the video for people to screenshot and send to you guys to win a prize. Just a thought that could help engagement on the video and create a rewatch factor.
I want to bring to life some main storylines, too. The above are more supportive and subliminal. I'm open to ideas here, but my main thought is fighting the feelings of insecurity, being overwhelmed, a lack of belief and wanting to escape. Ideally, I want this to be a story of acceptance and see a main character have to face themselves to experience the other side of these emotions, believing in oneself, chasing the dream, focus, and enlightenment. The biggest thing I want is a strong intro that hooks the audience and sets them up with intrigue, and we can slowly build to that point in the video. I love playing with the idea that there's good and bad inside everyone, and it's our job to work on ourselves to become the better version of ourselves, manage emotions, and learn so we can grow.
Ideally, I want a large space with various rooms, and we can dress up different places to look weird and odd, control the lighting, and lean into the grittiness of the past videos, too. The Red Shift location would be fine with more production, team and resources to make something special there!
THE HURDLES
Momentum. It's that simple. I feel like every time we make something awesome, we lose momentum between releases. I really want to see this addressed more than anything else and get to the root cause. I truly believe DW makes some of the best music. You guys create great art and have solid ideas, but there's a huge inconsistency in releasing music, and I think that hurts every project.
More than a great video, I want us to work together to strategize, create consistency, make you guys feel successful, and keep releasing and stacking up wins. I want to participate in the music video, post-production, and content strategy. I'm an open book to help and want this campaign to win for both parties.
THE SOLUTION
Consistency and confidence. Beyond this being a well-crafted visual story, I want to find lots of content, build proper hype, stay on schedule, and consider what happens next after this video. I want this relationship to evolve from creative video guy to partner in strategy.

WHY JECP?
"They excel at so many things; it's almost scary.
The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.
It's comforting to see how much they care about the project
and how every single detail is thought out well before the shoot date."
Sean Divine
FEAR CULTURE
"It was a fantastic experience to trust JECP and let them take our idea and
make it into something incredible. From the start, Josh and Ross helped to discuss our vision, goals, and ideas
for the video, which was new for us.
Honestly, it can be terrifying to hand over your project to someone else and trust that they "get it," but it turned out to be our best-received video to date."
CHRIS WEATHINGTON
SOFTSPOKEN
"The amount of content that we got to go with our music video was what sold me,
which took our release to the next level.
The coaching on set helped break us out of our shells and give our best performance.
The JECP guys are fantastic, and I recommend you every chance I get."
