WHAT IS FROSTBITE?
"Frostbite" is a documentary about former BMXers and skateboarders sharing their impactful experiences with their sport and passing on their legacy to the next generation. The documentary captures their love and dedication to their sport, the challenges they faced, and the lessons they learned while highlighting the importance of building proper facilities for young riders.


OUR GOALS & OBJECTIVES
The main goal is to give back to our community by telling our story in hopes of getting traction for a new and properly built park that can be enjoyed by the next generations and properly taken care of. We hope to educate and inspire the community to take action by sharing this story.

I. WELCOME TO ZANESVILLE

  • Introduce the former BMXers and skateboarders and explain the documentary's focus on their stories and experiences.

  • Briefly describe their passion for their sport and its impact on their lives.


 

II. CHILDHOOD DREAMERS

  • Show the former athletes discussing their youth and the vital role BMX and skateboarding played in their lives.

  • Explore the thrill of riding down the streets, the joy of landing a difficult trick, and the camaraderie they shared with fellow riders.


 

III. OVERCOMING OHIO

  • Depict the difficulties the athletes faced in a small town with limited resources, where they had to create their own makeshift ramps and skate spots.

  • Describe how they braved the harsh winter climate and endured frostbite, fueled by their unwavering dedication to their sport.

 

IV. LESSONS LEARNED

  • Highlight the valuable life lessons the athletes learned through their sport, such as discipline, perseverance, and resilience.

  • Show how these qualities have helped them in various aspects of their lives beyond BMX and skateboarding.

V. OUR LEGACY

  • Emphasize the importance of passing on the legacy of action sports and inspiring the next generation of BMXers and skateboarders.

THE RESULTS

The main film will be a 4-10 min film to show to city officials, community members, vendors, fundraising, and ideal partners to help us build a new skatepark in the Zanesville community.The Secondary film will be a 40 min+ mini-documentary as a legacy piece to action sports featuring athletes, community members, and those involved and impacted by action sports. This will be a way to celebrate the sport, its lessons, and how it's shaped a whole culture of individuals
